Bill Hugh Silver, age 74 of Yellville, Arkansas passed from this life on Wednesday, January 23rd, 2019 at his home. He was born on July 19th, 1944 in Searcy County, Arkansas to Carter Silver and Dorothy Adams Silver. Bill was married to the late Betty Sue Mathis Silver who passed away in 2017.
Bill was a veteran of the United States Army and served during the Vietnam War. He had a bachelor's degree in Mathematics and enjoyed working with computers. Bill also enjoyed working on older cars. He loved watching old westerns, especially John Wayne movies. He was a passionate Razorback and Cardinal fan. Bill was a wonderful mentor and advisor to his three boys and his infinite wisdom will be dearly missed by his sons.
Survivors include three sons, Eric, Todd and Chris Silver, all of Bentonville; two sisters, Donna Ellis of Harrison and Pat Kowan and husband Richard of Las Vegas, Nevada; and sister-in-law, Judy Silver of California, Missouri.
Bill is preceded in death by his parents, Carter and Dorothy Silver; his wife, Betty Silver; his sister, Shirley Fitzgerald and husband Bob; brother, Ben Silver; and brother-in-law, Jerry Ellis.
A memorial service for Bill will be 1:00 PM on Saturday, February 2nd, 2019 at Roller-Coffman Chapel in Marshall, Arkansas with Bro. Mike Proctor officiating.
