Earl Harry Nelson, age 79 of Marshall, Arkansas passed from this life on Sunday, January 20th, 2019 at his home. He was born in Galveston, Texas on May 11th, 1939 to Murrel Nelson Sr. and Dora Lee Heitmann Nelson.

Earl attended the Red Oak Freewill Baptist Church where he enjoyed playing music and studying God's word. He was an avid reader of the bible and loved his Lord and Savior. Earl was an amazing musician and played several instruments including guitar and piano. He and his brother, Murrel Jr. played together as The Nelson Brothers Band. They were the opening act on several occasions for George Jones and Jerry Lee Lewis and appeared on television in Galveston, Texas. Earl also was a motorcycle enthusiast and enjoyed riding.

Survivors include his brother, Lee F. Nelson and wife Rhonda of Panama City, Florida; his niece, Dawn Nelson of Waco, Texas; a nephew, Brian Cannary and wife Mildred of Bellmead, Texas; great-niece, Layken Jackson of Waco, Texas; and several cousins, other family and loving friends who will mourn his passing.

Earl is preceded in death by his parents, Murrel and Dora Lee Nelson; his brother, Murrel Nelson Jr.; and nephew, Brent Nelson.

Memorial services for Earl will be 7:00 PM Monday, January 28th, 2019 at Red Oak Freewill Baptist Church in Marshall, Arkansas with Bro. Jason Ragland officiating.
