Mary Jean Walls Baker, age 82 of Bartlett, Tennessee passed from this life on Tuesday, October 23rd, 2018 at Kings Daughters and Sons Home in Memphis, Tennessee. She was born in Wagoner, Oklahoma on September 1st, 1936 to Clifford Walls and Jean Labrocca Walls.
Mary was wed to A. Donald Baker in 1957 and they enjoyed 55 years together before his death in 2012. She spent her working years as an office administrator for a high school and then went on to become an audit clerk for a freight company. In younger days, she and Donald enjoyed square dancing. Mary was an excellent cook and seamstress. She was a wonderful homemaker and mother to her three boys.
Survivors include three sons, Eugene Baker and wife Rena of Ocean Springs, Mississippi, Curtis Baker of Bartlett, Tennessee and Kenneth Baker, also of Bartlett, Tennessee; four grandchildren, Kelly Ishmael, Kyle Baker, Josh Baker and Lisa Bell; two great-grandchildren, Inge and Brooklyn; and many other family and friends who will mourn her passing.
Mary is preceded in death by her parents; and her husband, A. Donald Baker.
Arrangements are by Roller-Coffman Funeral Home in Marshall, Arkansas. Graveside services for Mary will be 2:30 PM Sunday, October 28th, 2018 at Osborne Cemetery in St. Joe, Arkansas. Burial will follow. Pallbearers will be Ty Eddings, Zack Eddings, Jeremy Baker, Hunter Williams, Randy Campbell and David Sherman.
