Dorothy Elizabeth Pinson

Dorothy Elizabeth Pinson, age 100 of Leslie, Arkansas passed from this life on Sunday, September 30th, 2018 at her home. She was born in Durant, Oklahoma on February 14th, 1918 to John Bonneau and Alice Walden Bonneau.

Dorothy loved God foremost in her life. In later years when her health permitted she attended New Life Church in Leslie. She and her husband, Gilbert attended the Christian Missionary Alliance when he was living. Together they enjoyed traveling this great country in their RV. Dorothy lived for her family. She was a wonderful homemaker who loved to cook and feed her family, friends and neighbors. The strong Christian example she set will live on in her children, grandchildren, great and great-great grandchildren.

Survivors include three sons, David Pinson of Leslie, Tim Pinson and wife Cindy of Austin, TX and Randy Pinson of Leslie; two daughters, Barbara Sue Henderson and husband Lyndol of Houston, TX and Dottie Mayes and husband Carl of Leslie; and numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.

Dorothy is preceded in death by her parents, John and Alice Bonneau; her husband, Gilbert Pinson; children, Judy Clark, Danny Pinson, James Lee Pinson and Gilbert Pinson Jr.; grandchild, Ray Henderson; and siblings, Howard Courtney, John Bonneau, Mary Helen Moses and Anna Jo Cashion.

A private family burial was held on Monday, October 1st, 2018 at Kuykendall Cemetery in Leslie, Arkansas where Dorothy was laid to rest beside her husband, Gilbert. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, November 3rd, 2018 at New Life Church in Leslie, Arkansas with Bro. Tim Pinson officiating. Time for the memorial service will be announced at a later date.

So sorry to hear of the death of Mrs. Pinson. The Pinson family was always special friends to us (the Ashley family). Met years ago at Arlington Camp in Arlington, TX and have kept up with many of you through the years. Prayers for the family at this time!
