Mr. Hardin and his family lived across from my family when I was growing up. The Johnson & Jones family. He was always a very sweet man with a great sense of humor.
I went over to their house quiet often as his daughters were close to me in age, Also to sit & talk to him & Mrs. Betty. He was a jokester but so was I so we always had a lot of laughs.
I moved to TN in the mid 1970’s but never went to vist my family in Mabelvale without speaking with him.
Last time I saw him he was sitting on his front porch when I pulled up. He was so sweet & happy that I came out to see him when I have no family there any more. We had a great visit. He will be missed.
I hope Judy, Kathy & David & all his family will keep his memories alive by speaking & sharing of him often.
If I can ever be of help to any of you please let me know.
Love & prayers to each of you.

Melissa and I had the privilege of knowing Bro. Hollis, as well as his wonderful wife Betty. We enjoyed several relationships with them through the years: they were our landlords, our fellow-church members as I served as associate pastor at Mabelvale. We have always loved this special couple. Hollis was always willing to be a help to us and had a comical relationship with Melissa. He was a good servant of the Lord and will be missed in this life. Now he is with the Lord and will return with Him in the air soon. Prayers and condolences to the entire family.

Hollis was a wonderful and kind man. I loved the way he called some of us Trouble. I only knew him for a short time but I know one thing for certain he loved the Lord and he is there right now with Jesus and his beautiful Betty. My prayers for comfort and strength are with you now during your time of loss.

Will have all of you in my thoughts and prayers as you walk this journey in life saying your earthly goodbyes. I have fond memories of Bro. Hollis and will never forget times we have poked fun at each other on who had the biggest horns!! (inside joke) Loved him!
