Lonnie Hunter, 79, of East End, AR., passed away December 17, 2019. Born June 17, 1940 in Sheridan, AR., to the late Harvey and Lottie Crutchfield Hunter. Reared and educated in Sheridan and East End, AR. He worked as a retail deliveryman and truck driver at Coleman Dairy, Colonial Bakery, Krispy Kreme and retired from B&T Pallet.
He was an avid classic car enthusiast, sponsored monthly car show at Doc's Pizza (Larry's) in Landmark, AR. He was a member of Mid-South Car Club, also a member of Brooks Bethal Baptist Church in Alexander AR.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Ida Nell Adair Hunter, his parents and 7 siblings. He is survived by his children, Gale Crawford (Dale), Nathan Hunter (Tammy) and Vanessa Holder (Robert); grandchildren, Matt Crawford, Kristen McGregor (Matt Newkirk), Taylor Skarda (David), Hunter Bienick and Kira-May Holder. He was also survived by his great-grandchildren, Abby, Breanna, Payten, Tayla, Tyanna, Remington, Braxton and Hagan, his brother, W.C. Hunter, a special friend Wanda Price, numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, family and friends.
Funeral services will be officiated by Brother Carl Horne, 1:00 P.M., Saturday, December 21 at Roller-Drummond Funeral Home, 10900 I 30, Little Rock, AR. Burial will follow at Salem Cemetery. Visitation will be 6:00-8:00 P.M., Friday at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be David Skarda, Jody Barnes, Hunter Bienick, George Wilson, Carrol Flynn and Preston Ferris; Honorary Pallbearers, the Mid-South Car Club.
Memorials may be made to Brooks Bethal Baptist Church 20020 S. Alexander Road, Alexander, AR. 72002.
So sorry to hear of the passing of my lifelong friend Lonnie. He will be missed by us all but his memories will be with us forever. May God bless the family during this sad time of loss.
