of Sheridan, AR
November 28, 1928 - September 23, 2019
Julia L. Meyer, 90, went to be with the Lord, September 23, 2019. She was born on November 28, 1928 in Lunenburg, Arkansas to Ernest and Ida Delling. Julia was a member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church. She was a strong, courageous woman, an inspiration to everyone she knew. A loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and sister. Julia loved being outside, working in her yard and reading a book. She found peace in being quiet, watching and feeding the birds and looking at the clouds. We could all take a lesson from Julia to stop and smell the roses.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her loving husband of 70 years; James Norman Meyer, son; Dennis Meyer, grandson; Travis Meyer and four siblings. Julia is survived by two sons; Daryl Meyer (Jan), Doyle Meyer (Debbie), daughter-in-law, Janeen Meyer; one sister; Peggy Hooker (Sonny); two sisters-in-law; Billie Jo Delling, Peggy Jo Delling;, five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. She also leaves a host of loving nieces and nephews.
A very special thanks to Brother Rick Porter, her pastor and friend who supported her through so many challenging things. Also, to the wonderful caregivers at the House of Three in Sheridan for the love, patience and kindness shown to Mrs. Julia during her stay there.
A Memorial service will be held 3 pm, Saturday, September 28, 2019 at Roller Drummond Funeral Home, 10900 Interstate 30, Little Rock.
Darrel and Doyle, my deepest condolences. Your mom was always so very nice to me.. She was a special person. So sorry for your loss.
condolences from cousin Roger. Julia will be missed.
I so enjoyed visiting with both Mr and Mrs Meyer as I raised my children living in the Orchard subdivision. Mrs. Meyer helped my kids with several leaf collections for science projects. We would visit as we walked the neighborhood. God bless your family as you grieve.
Daryl, we are so sorry for the loss of your mother. Our thoughts and prayers are with you

I am so saddened by the loss of such a wonderful lady. I will forever cherish our visits on the "back porch". She was such an inspiration to me. Mom loved her so much and will miss their visits as well. Prayers for the family in the days and weeks to come.
