Cleta Vernell Owen McDonald of Little Rock passed away April 6, 2019.
She was born September 12, 1917 in Faulkner county, Arkansas to the late Josh A. Owen and Lillie Gray Owen.
She graduated from Naylor High School and she was married to Russell Monroe McDonald on December 4, 1945.
She is retired from the Arkansas School for the Deaf.
She was a member of St. Luke Methodist Church of Little Rock for over 50 years.
She is survived by her two daughters: Trenace McDonald Prater and Ella Lou McDonald.
She loved to sew and quilt and having morning coffee with her friends at McDonald's.
Graveside services will be 11:00 AM, Tuesday, April 9, 2019 at Mt. Vernon Cemetery in Mt. Vernon, Arkansas.

What a wonderful, long life! In addition to being her pastor for 5 1/2 years, we also shared a love of quilting and I am still using up some of the fabric she gave me. I was privileged to inherit some of her quilt blocks after she could no longer quilt.
