Mrs. Marion Collier Perkins Gregory, 90, of Mountain Home, Arkansas, went to be with her Heavenly Father on January 3, 2020. She was born October 3, 1929, in Golden, Mississippi, to Chester Marion and Ida Dena (Little) Collier.
Mrs. Gregory moved to Arkansas in approximately 1940. She married Robert Lloyd Perkins in 1946 and two years later graduated from Jonesboro High School. In 1971, Robert and Marion moved to Harrison, Arkansas. After a divorce in 1982, Marion attended North Arkansas Junior College and later moved back to Jonesboro to continue her education. She met Gerald Gregory and later they were married. She lived in the Jonesboro area for about twenty-five years until moving back Mountain Home in her later years. Marion was employed by General Electric for about ten years, however most of her life she enjoyed being a homemaker.
Mrs. Marion Gregory is survived by three children: Jana Todd (Danny) of Henderson, Arkansas, Tenia Boyer of Hermann, Missouri, and Victoria Cornelius (Ken) of Kingston Springs, Tennessee. Also surviving are 6 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren and 12 great-great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband, Gerald Gregory and one son, Tim Perkins.
Visitation will be 11:00 a.m., Monday, January 6th, 2020, at the Shiloh Methodist Church, 521 CR 773, Jonesboro, Arkansas (off Hwy 141 North) with a funeral service to follow at 12:00 p.m. with Reverend Everrett Blackley and Reverend Mace Strouble officiating. A dinner is planned after the graveside service. Pallbearers: Troy Weston, Robert Daniels, Will Weston, Caleb Fiddler, Justin Johnson and Violet Byrd. Honorary Pallbearers: Paul Golden, Ryan Colgan, CJ Johnson and Jackson Felts.
