Theodore (Ted) Charles May, age 60, of Mountain Home, Arkansas passed away Tuesday, July 9, 2019. Ted was born July 5, 1959, in Millington, Tennessee, to Thomas and Helen (Dutcher) May.
Ted married Kim Woehler on June 12, 1999 and together they have three sons. Ted worked in many jobs throughout his life. Ted had dedicated his life to helping other in their recovery. He was proud of achieving over 27 years of sobriety. He had a passion for fishing in his spare time. Ted enjoyed watching James Bond movies and he was an avid fan of the Green Bay Packers but could never convert his boys. He will be missed dearly by all that knew him.
Ted is survived by his wife, Kim; sons, Michael (Courtney) Gilbert, Brandon Gilbert, and Joseph May; Father, Thomas May; one grandson, Xander Gilbert; one granddaughter, Jaden Gilbert; Uncle and Aunt, Roy and Betty Moubray.
He is preceded in death by his mother, Helen.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00a.m. on Tuesday, July 16, 2019 at The Christian Church of Mountain Home, 1365 Eastside Center Ct, Mountain Home, AR 72653. Burial will be later in LeHigh, Iowa.
I remember seeing Ted around the hospital when I worked there, he always had a smile on his face and a kind word to all. He will surely be missed by all.
It was a pleasure to work with Ted,and to be his neighbor.he was a funny guy and nice to be around.since i retired i didnt see him that much,but i will always remember him and him always smiling. He will be truly missed.praying for kim and the family

Ted was the best friend a person could ever ask for. When I got down - he never stopped checking on me, always let me know I had friends and to always have hope. When Teddy was in the room - you smiled and had fun. He could defuse any bad scene with a simple word or comment. Truly a man of peace. Gonna miss you, Teddy May!

Teddy has been a friend for my entire time I've lived in Arkansas. He has shown many people that Recovery does work. I will miss his calls and his smiling face. May his family have peace knowing his struggles are over. Till we meet again my friend. RIP Teddy May
Ted has been a great friend for the past 25 years. I will always remember his infectious smile and laughter. We shared many years of recovery together and Ted was always willing to help out whenever he could. I know he is in a much better place now, but, I will still miss him very much! My thoughts and prayers are with his family and friends.
I can't believe it's been 25 years.. I just wish I had kept in closer contact. My condolences to Kim and his family. You'll be missed Teddy Bear...
I am so sad to hear of Ted's pasding. I enjoyed knowing and working with him at Baxter Regional for many years. He scored his wife and family. A very good person. Prayers of comfort.
