Jackie Lyn Weaver

of Mountain Home, AR

October 4, 1947 - December 14, 2018

Jackie Lyn brought in her line and set sail for the pearly gates, reaching heavens shoreline December 14, 2018. Her sudden departure was surrounded by love and support.
Jackie graced this world with her presence on October 4, 1947 in Decatur, Illinois to ''Doc'' Rickey and Betty Jo Bixler. The fourth of 5 children, she quickly ensured she'd stand out in a crowd. She was a smart girl with a tongue in cheek, humorous wit and untamable rebellious spirit. Early on, she was reprimanded in school for being the only girl, in a dress, to publicly run up and kick a football. No surprise, later she'd be voted most athletic at Lovington High School but more so this was the first indication that Jackie did things Jackie's way.
Her firecracker personality, competitive nature and heightened intelligence, led her to several achievements and accomplishments throughout life. She became a journeyman butcher, earned her cosmetology degree, a successful seamstress, product inspector at RebRod, and owner /operator of ''Grammy's Taxi'', just to name a few.
Aside from professions, she was an award winning dancer, seasoned chef to her family, an avid hunter, a diehard sports fan and participant; earned the prestigious title of The First Female Master Angler in Arkansas. A high noted victory for any fisherman but unheard of for a fisher-woman in that time.
She conquered love in the fall of 85, when she met and married the love of her life and spent 21 joyous years hunting, fishing, and appreciating her sweetie. She was one of a kind as a mixture of a lady and tomboy, sunshine mixed with a little hurricane, a devout Christian, a comedian always, a resource with a vast bank of knowledge, a ruthless spades player, a smart mouth backed by a strong will and her self-proclaimed, most rewarding role, a Grammy to her girls which she labeled ''The Brat Pack''. Her influence in their lives is second to none and their love for her left them by her side until the end.
The true epitome of a Golden Girl, saying she will be missed is an understatement, saying she's impossible to forget is more accurate. With tears in our eyes we let her go because we all know where she's headed.
She is out on Bull Shoals Lake on a cool, fall morning. She's rocking her Illini sweats as she calls those Hogs, casts out her line and waits for a bass, but her eyes track the shoreline for a glimpse of a buck. Grandpa baits his hook and throws his line as he steps beside her. As the McKamey's sing the theme and her visor blocks the sun, a smile erupts on her face, she's got the wind at her back and Jesus has the wheel, they coast down the lake in her paradise. We may miss her here but we are at peace, because we know it's time so---Grammy's Gone Fishin'.
She is survived by her children: daughter, Cheri Gardner and son, Bradley Eaton; grandchildren: Jaclyn (Lekisha) Huddleston, Dane Niland, and Jake Easton; great grandchildren: Lilliana Lussier, Avery Tanakatsubo, Madison Niland, Sylas Niland; sisters: Carol (D.J.) Smith, Norma (Larry) Anderson, and Kathie Osborn and brother, Roger (Cheri) Rickey.
Mrs. Weaver is preceded in death by her husband, Marvin Weaver; mother and dad, Betty Jo and Rich Harned; father, Ronald ''Doc'' (Donna) Rickey; son in law, Tommy Gardner; brother in law, Ricky Osborn, and lifelong best friend, Wanda Daffron.
Visitation for Mrs. Weaver will be from 6-9pm Tuesday, December 18, 2018 at Roller Funeral Home. Funeral services will be at 1pm Wednesday, December 19, 2018 at Roller Funeral Home with Pastor Noel Moore officiating. Interment will immediately follow at Walnut Hill Cemetery, Cotter, Arkansas.

Honorary Pallbearers are: Melanie Hodges, Brie Justice, Lindsay Pack, Rhonda Pace-Wood, Darlene Denton, A.J. Friend, Kristy ''Keeter'' Smith and Kathie Osborn.

Please take comfort in the Bible’s message of hope when it says that we will see our loved ones again. John 5:28,29.
In the meantime though, please accept the sincerest condolences from my family.
