Charlie Garrison, age 71, of Oakland, Arkansas passed away Wednesday, March 13, 2013 at Baxter Regional Medical Center. He was born April 17, 1941 in St. Louis, Missouri to Arthur and Ruth (Wilkerson) Garrison.
Mr. Garrison married Leona Ruth Myers July 29, 1972 in Gamaliel, Arkansas. He served with the Baxter County Sheriff's Department from 1980 1999. He was elected as Sheriff in 1997 and retired in 1999. He was a lifetime member of the Fraternal Order of Police. He enjoyed spending time with his family and fishing.
Mr. Garrison is survived by his wife: Leona ''Sis'' Garrison of Oakland, Arkansas, four sons: Larry Caruso and wife Jill of Mountain Home, Arkansas, Charlie Garrison, Jr. and wife Nellena of Conway, Arkansas, Tony Garrison and wife Cris of Washington, Missouri and Randy Garrison and wife Maria of St. Louis, Missouri, three daughters: Colleen McCracken and husband Dale of Gassville, Arkansas, Evelyn Turner of Mountain Home and Denise Powell and husband Bob of Washington, Missouri, sixteen grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and three brothers: Joe, Don and Tom.
Memorial services will be 4:00 p.m. Sunday, March 17, 2013 at the Roller Funeral Home Chapel with Bishop Sam Seamans officiating. Interment will be private.

My deepest sympathy to the Garrison family. We were not created to die. Because of disobedience in the Garden of Eden we all were doomed to death. But we have a Loving Heavenly Father that cares for us as individuals because He send one man to die for all. 2 Cor. 5:14 Also Rev. 21:4 Jehovah God will wipe all tears from our eyes and death, morning, outcry and pain will be gone.
