Tommy Glover, 82, of Jonesboro, Arkansas, passed away on Friday, July 31, 2020. He was born January 23, 1938, in Craighead County to the late Ervin and Irene (Combs) Glover.

Tommy worked as a farmer and enjoyed gardening, hunting, and airplanes. He served in the United States Navy where he spent three and a half years on the U.S.S. Lloyd Thomas (destroyer). He was of the Church of Christ belief. He enjoyed many years with the Crowley's Ridge Cruisers Car Club.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Ervin and Irene; his wife, Shirley (Ashlock) Glover; and nephew, Erik Collins.

Left to cherish his memory are his sister, Shirley (Cletis) Collins; aunt, Dorothy Combs; nephew, Brett (Carrie) Collins; and two great nephews, Tyler (Emily) Collins and Grant Collins, whom he loved as his own.

An outdoor memorial service for Tommy will be held at 10:00 AM, Wednesday, August 5, 2020, at Roller-Farmers Union Funeral Home, 1900 W Washington Ave, Jonesboro, Arkansas with Allen Ashlock officiating.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests lasting donations in Mr. Glover's honor be made to the Children's Home Inc, 5515 Walcott Road, Paragould, AR 72450.

We are complying with the Arkansas Department of Health guidelines and limiting indoor funeral and visitation attendance to fifty individuals at one time, while observing social distancing guidelines. All attendees must furnish and wear their own masks before entering the building.

Was out of town for several days and just read of Tommy’s passing. We were both in the 1040 Hunting club in Izard County together for around 20 years. Tommy was a good man and a friend, always offering a helping hand.

Tommy was a good friend to Sharon and I when we would visit Jonesboro relatives.....Joe and Shirley Smith. Since Shirley and Sharon have both passed away I have not visited there recently. We always enjoyed our Jonesboro "family". Sorry for your loss. I know he will be missed.

I loved Tommy like a brother. He was like my best friend and would do anything for me. God made such a special person when he made Tommy. I am very thankful for all the time we were able to spend together working on projects and just having a good time. I will miss my dear friend everyday.
