Wayne (Wick) Greeno, 88, of Weiner, passed away Friday, July 10, 2020. He was born March 19, 1932, to the late Homer and Ethel Greeno.

Wick joined the Navy at 18 and proudly served his country for four years. During this time he married the love of his life, Wanda Smith, and they enjoyed 68 years of marriage. Upon returning home to Weiner, Wick began his 50 year farming career and enjoyed every minute of it until he retired in 2009. During his life he loved spending time with family and friends, hunting and watching sports. He was also an active member of the Weiner Church of Christ and of the community of Weiner. For the past several years, he and Wanda found a new love of playing beanbag baseball. They enjoyed playing and spending time with the members of the State Champion Cardinal Senior Beanbag Baseball Team.

Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Lindburg and Homer Jr. Greeno; and one son, Gary Greeno.

He is survived by his wife, Wanda Smith Greeno; his daughter, Tina (Steve) Davis; his son, Darrell Greeno; grandchildren, Sasha (Scott) Osment, Amber Greeno, Autumn ( Bradley) Simpson, Cade (Taylor) Greeno, Logan Greeno, Gatlin Greeno and Beth Blythe. He is also survived by 13 great grandchildren; 2 great-great grandchildren and a host of extended family and lifelong friends.

A graveside service to celebrate his life will be 10 am Tuesday in Oak Grove Cemetery at Weiner with Alvis Brown and Ray Keller officiating.

Pallbearers will be Charles Cooper, Donald Greeno, Troy Greeno, Joe Trotter, Otto Ruesewald and Radius Baker.

Lasting memorials may be sent to the Weiner Fire Department or the Weiner Cemetery Fund.
