Barbara Ruth Walker, 69, of Jonesboro passed away Friday, July 3, 2020. She was born July 19, 1950 to Johnny and Joan Russell. She loved fishing, cooking and spending time with her grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents; husband of 48 years, Robert Walker; granddaughter, Brittany James; and brothers, Jimmy, Jerry, and John Russell.
Left to cherish her memory are sons, Robert (Jennifer) Walker and Sammy Walker; daughters, Tammy (James) Wood and Teri (Chris) Williamson; grandchildren, Kaitlyn Walker, Jordan Walker, Brentley Walker, Catelyn Hall, Coty Hall, Carson Forehand, Kayla Griffin (Theron Childress), Jessie (Melissa) Russell, Dustin and Cody Williamson and Sasha Banton; numerous great-grandchildren, brother, Mike (Lee) Russell; and many nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be held 10:00 am, Thursday, July 9, 2020 at Oaklawn Cemetery in Jonesboro.

I'm at a loss for words. Rest in love Mama. This is hard for me because this family welcomed me with open arms when I first moved to Jonesboro in 1986. Back then shw treated me and my children just like we were hers...I gained sisters I never had, more brothers and an amazing woman who blessed me with letting me call her Mama. Tammy, Teri, Robert and Sammy I love y'all and my thoughta and prayers are with y'all. Just know shes with Daddy and Brittany and they are flying high with the angels
