Ronnie Kirby, 68, of Jonesboro, Arkansas, passed away Friday, June 19, 2020, at his home. He was born to the late James L. and Jewell Kirby on March 4, 1952, in Newport.

He served in the United States Army in the Vietnam War.He worked for the U.S. Postal Service and Sun Ergoline. He attended the Strawfloor Baptist Church.In his free time, Ronnie enjoyed hunting, fishing, and gambling.

Ronnie was preceded in death by his parents, James and Jewell.

Left to cherish his memory is his son, Matthew (Amanda) Kirby; grandchildren, Cali Kirby and Larson Kirby; brother, Rick Kirby; and his significant other, Rose Nanney.

A graveside service for Ronnie will be held at 11:30 AM on Wednesday, June 24, 2020, at Pine Log Cemetery in Brookland with Brother Tommy Herndon officiating. Burial will follow.

Honored to serve as Pallbearers will be B.J. Kirby, Jeff Davis, Michael Jones, Tom Smith, Thomas Willie, and Elmer Metcalf.

A visitation will be held at Roller-Farmers Union Funeral Home, 1900 W Washington Ave, prior to the graveside service from 10:00 to 11:00 am.

We are complying with the Arkansas Department of Health guidelines and limiting indoor funeral and visitation attendance to fifty individuals at one time, while observing social distancing guidelines.
All attendees must furnish and wear their own mask before entering the building.

Rest in peace Ronnie. Have know you and Rick since you were little guys. Enjoyed the fishing stories that were created by you and Jim Hardin fishing together and running together so many years ago. Thoughts and prayers for Mat, Rick and the rest of the family.
