February 3, 1929 - January 20, 2020

Dora Evelyn Gray, 90, of Brookland, passed away on Monday, January 20, 2020 at her home. She was born February 3, 1929 in Goobertown, AR to Edward and Minnie Davenport Adams. Mrs. Gray worked as a secretary and was a member of First Church of the Nazarene. She loved gardening and crosswords.

Mrs. Gray was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 37 years, Wiley D. Gray; two sons, Jimmy and Tommy Gray; a sister, Yvonne Nelms and a granddaughter, Misty Turpin.

Evelyn leaves behind to cherish her memory, four daughters, Nona (Jerry) Tolbert, Barbara Gray, Janice (Billy) Williams and Gail (Fred) Flemon; four grandchildren, Dustin Turpin, Sean Tolbert, Adam (Mandi) Edmonds and Allen Flemon; five great grandchildren, Dylan Wann, Connor Edmonds, Ally and Kate Edmonds, and Brennan Flemon; one brother, Russell (Marcia) Adams of Rockford, IL; two sisters, Eddie June (Conley) Bogart and Judi Whitney, all of Rockford; a sister-in-law, Naomi Seats; and many nieces and nephews all over the US.

Chapel services will be 11 am Wednesday at Roller-Farmers Union Funeral Home, 1900 West Washington Avenue in Jonesboro. Burial will follow at Sweet Moments Cemetery in Goobertown.

Dustin Turpin, Sean Tolbert, Adam Edmonds, Allen Flemon, Dylan Wann and Connor Edmonds will serve as pallbearers. Brennan Flemon will serve as honorary pallbearer.

Visitation will begin at 10 am until time of service.

I am at a lost for words to say how much your mother meant to me and my family. Evelyn was so precious and a blessing. Loved her!
