Mary Leila Gartman, 89, of Jonesboro, passed away Thursday, August 29, 2019 at NEA Baptist Hospital. She was born July 21, 1930 in Brookland, AR to Amos W. and Lillie Mae (Gentry) Wooten. Mrs. Gartman was retired from Dupont and a member of Forest Home Church of the Nazarene. She loved reading, cooking, quilting, and most of all, taking care of her family.
Mrs. Gartman was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 48 years, Melvin Gartman; a son, Rick Gartman; one brother and two sisters.
Survivors include her sons, Ronnie (Suzanne) Gartman and Tim (Brenda) Gartman; two daughters, Barbara (Vernon Jr.) Neal and Jennifer (Darren) Lipford; 10 grandchildren, Ross Gartman, Lance Gartman, Bart (Sheila) Gartman, Lori Ivey, John (Karen) Neal, Robert (Kate) Neal, Gabriel Gartman, Sandi (Daryl) Burrows, Taylor Lipford and Mason Lipford; 13 great grandchildren; a brother, Jim (Marvine) Wooten and a sister, Loreda (Harold) McGill.
Funeral services will be 2 pm Saturday at Roller-Farmers Union Funeral Home, 1900 West Washington Avenue in Jonesboro with Ken Stallings officiating. Burial will follow at Jonesboro Memorial Park Cemetery.
Visitation will begin at 1 pm until time of service.
