Shirley Joyce Thomas, 83, passed away Thursday, July 4, 2019 at Three Rivers Healthcare and Rehabilitation in Marked Tree, Arkansas. Shirley was born August 22, 1935, to Camual Barton and Ava Work (Dean) Arms in Bear Creek, Arkansas.
Shirley worked for the Jonesboro Human Development Center, and in her free time she enjoyed quilting, sewing, gardening, decorating, dance, and doing word searches.
She is preceded in death by her parents, one sister, and one brother.
Survivors include her sons, Kelvin Rice and Kevin (Penny) Campbell; daughters, Carolyn (Anson) Clark and Marilyn (Ricky) Mitchell; brother, Azie Arms; ten grandchildren; and nine great grandchildren.
A memorial visitation will be held from 4:00-6:00pm on Wednesday, July 10, 2019, at Roller-Farmers Union Funeral Home, 1900 W Washington Ave, Jonesboro, Arkansas.
