Charles Joe Harris, 73, of Jonesboro, passed away Wednesday, October 24, 2018 at Walnut Ridge Nursing and Rehab. He was born April 19, 1945 in Jonesboro to Homer and Letha Harris. Joe was a missionary Baptist preacher and a carpenter. He was a member of Jonesboro Baptist Church and loved hunting, fishing and woodworking. He also served in the U.S. Army.
Joe was preceded in death by his father and a sister, Carol McHalffey.
Survivors include his wife, Alta Harris; sons, Ryan Harris, Josh Harris and Kodi Harris; a daughter, Kayli Jurgenson; nine grandchildren; and three great grandchildren.
Chapel services will be 11:30 am Friday at Roller-Farmers Union Funeral Home, 1900 West Washington Avenue in Jonesboro. Interment will be 2 pm at Trinity Cemetery in Bono.
Visitation will begin at 10 am until time of service.
