February 7, 1928 - July 2, 2018

Kathryn Elizabeth Griggs, 90, of Cordova, TN, passed away Monday, July 2, 2018. She was born February 7, 1928 in Jonesboro. Mrs. Griggs was a homemaker and a member of the Eastern Star. She attended Nettleton Baptist Church and holds the honor of the longest membership. She will always be considered the best mom by her loving family.

Mrs. Griggs is preceded in death by her parents, Jesse Elmer and Anna Waldron Woollum; and her husband, Paul Griggs.

Survivors include her son, Jesse (Hilda) Griggs of Kenton, TN; her daughter, Debra (Roger) Elbert of Oakland, TN; three grandchildren, Danielle Elbert, Julie (Blake) Bobbitt of Lakeland, TN, and Jessica Griggs of North MS; and two great grandchildren, Jesse Bobbitt and Idella Grace Griggs.

Chapel services will be held 2 pm Saturday at Roller-Farmers Union Funeral Home, 1900 West Washington Avenue in Jonesboro with Stan Ballard officiating. Interment will follow at Oaklawn Cemetery.

Tim Scheel, Blake Bobbitt, Tim Mason, Gordon Whitaker, Roger Elbert and Jeff Hollis will serve as pallbearers.

Visitation will begin at 1 pm until time of services.
