Mrs. Floyd Turner (Sissie), 83, passed away February 17, 2019 at Baptist Health Medical Center in Little Rock, AR after a long battle with cancer. She has always been known as ''Sissie'', a name her eldest brother gave her when he initially saw her after her birth.
Sissie Bradshaw Turner was born on June 11, 1935 in Star City, Arkansas. She grew up in Wright, Arkansas and attended Plum Bayou School. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of England, Arkansas.
Sissie and Floyd were married 62 years when he passed away on December 11, 2015.
Sissie loved her children and grandchildren first and foremost. Secondly, she loved to travel with her husband. They toured many countries and almost every state.
She and her closest friends, Mary Jane Rollins, Bobbie Lynn Henderson and Karen Whitehead went on numerous trips and she loved every minute.
Nothing could ever take place, until her hair was done by her hair dresser, Delbert Minton. She always said he and his wife were the best of friends.
Sissie was a wonderful cook and known for her pies!
Sissie was predeceased in death by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. James Jefferson Bradshaw. Her husband, Floyd, son, Timothy, daughter, Kimberly Diane, her brothers, Harold and Kenneth Bradshaw, and her sister Bobbie Oliger.
She is survived by her daughter Sheree Hillis (Greg); daughter-in-law, Mala Turner; Two granddaughters; Rachel Jackson (Barry) and Hanah Henderson; Two grandsons; Ryan Henderson and Jackson Turner; Great grandchildren, Greer and Connor Jackson and Turner Henderson; Her sister; Bettie Phillips; brother John Bradshaw; Her sister-in-law, Patsy Wallace as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

I have wonderful memories of Sissie Bradshaw Turner as a student of mine at Plum Bayou School. She was a joy to have in my class. My thoughts and prayers are with her family and friends.

I can picture the smile coming across her face right now as I start to tell her a funny story or a very funny joke -- she would get so tickled that you couldn't finish telling the joke because she had you laughing with her as well! If the subject of finances ever came up you could always plan on walking down the road to the "poor" house with her, yet you knew she would give you the very last dime she had if it would help you. She was the epitome of fashion, style, and grace too. She would try to make you believe she got that Ralph Lauren purple label suit she had on at Walmart, but I all knew better ..... and she always wore it superbly! My heart is so very full right now, in two ways ... ... ..full of sadness because I mourn
a very sweet and dear lady who I loved so very much; yet it is overflowing with love that she poured out to me and all who knew her. My birthday was the same day as her wedding anniversary. She didn't miss a year sending me a birthday greeting in the mail. She was just that kind of person. My prayers are with you Sheree and family. Your mom was very special.

Sherry and family, It was truly my honor and pleasure to know Ms. Sissie for 45 plus years. I was reminded today of the first time I met her in Havana so many years ago. She was kind and caring and loved and supported her family with all her heart. I will always be grateful for the support you both gave our family when Lance passed away. Sissie will be missed but is on her next journey to reunite with Floyd and other family members gone before her. Please know you all are in our thoughts and prayers in the days ahead. May Gods Grace supply all your needs.

Cindy Blansett.

Ms. Sissie was The Prettiest Woman to me for ALL the years I knew her. She was Pretty Inside & Out and Her Smile was Contagious, You Couldn't Help But Smile When She Smiled at You.
