Michael Dale Huie, 51, of Joplin, Missouri, formerly of Clinton, Arkansas, passed away on Wednesday, April 8, 2020 at his home.
Mike was born December 30, 1968 in Porterville, California, and graduated from San Manuel (Arizona) High School. He worked as an electrician in California, Arizona, and Arkansas, and was a member of the IBEW. Mike later earned a Bachelor's degree in Education from the University of Central Arkansas in Conway, Arkansas. He worked as a teacher for several years in Arkansas and Missouri. Mike loved spending time with his family and was a loyal Arkansas Razorback fan.
Mike was preceded in death by his grandparents, Johnny and Irene Huie; uncles, Garland Huie and Monty Wilson; aunt, Charlotte Retherford; nephew and nieces, Mikal, Margarita, and Caroline.
Left to cherish Michael's memory are his father, Wesley Huie (Anita) of Clinton, Arkansas; mom, Melanie Huie of Norwood, Colorado, his mother, Shirley Hitchcock (Pat) of Joplin, Missouri; wife, Marly Magalháes-Huie of Brazil; sons; Caique Jose Santos Magalháes Corrêa, Cauã Miguel Santos Magalháes Corrêa of Brazil; brothers, Bryan Huie (Lizette) of Tucson, Arizona, Earl Huie (Gillian) of Colorado Springs, Colorado, Johnnie Huie (Rachel) of Clinton, Arkansas; sister, Julia Emery (Michael) of Clinton, Arkansas; several nieces and nephews who loved him very much, as well as other relatives and many friends.
Private graveside services are under the direction of Roller-McNutt Funeral Home in Clinton.
