Jessie Dawson Foshee left this earth to reside eternally with her heavenly Father on December 25, 2019. Jessie was born on March 9, 1936 in Milburn, Oklahoma . Her parents were Sherman and Alice Dawson. She was the oldest of 5 siblings. She was married to the love of her life George Foshee in September 1964.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband George, sister Mary Jane Dawson, and brother Sherman L Dawson . She is survived by her sisters Bessie Dawson of Dennard and Betty (Rodney) Ferguson of Loyalton, California, her ''adopted'' family Adam, Darla, Sammy, Lacey Belle, and Katie McJunkins and the whole Pronia family all of Dennard.

Jessie was a telephone operator for Pacific Telephone for 10 years in Loyalton, California before marrying George. She then worked as a housekeeper for a construction company for several years. Later around 1981, they moved to Whistle Stop in Dennard for their retirement years. In 1988, after George had passed, she began working at the shirt factory in Marshall. She worked there for over 10 years where she made several friends and was known for her hard work ethic and loving personality.

Jessie was an avid reader. She had a huge collection of books that she loved to share and exchange with friends. She would sit and do crossword puzzles and word searches for hours. Jessie was a talented quilter and loved making things for people or sharing her knowledge with others. She was known for being patient when teaching others how to sew. She loved to cook and share recipes with friends and family. Even after she got to a point where she wasn't able to cook anymore, you could find people calling her for her advice on how to make something. She always took time to help someone.

Jessie's memorial service will be on Sunday, December 29, 2019 at Roller McNutt Funeral Home in Clinton, Arkansas at 2:00. The family would like to personally thank Ozark Health, Ozark Health Nursing Home, and Hospice for their loving care.
