James Harding Derendinger, born February 14, 1946 in Boonville, Missouri went to be with our Lord on Friday, November 30, 2018 at the age of 72. He passed away during surgery at the VA Hospital in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Ernest and Gloria Bledsoe Derendinger of Boonville, Missouri, brother, Jon Derendinger and Sister, Charlotte Gava.

He leaves behind his wife Ronda Hall Derendinger, two sons; James M. Deren and Dan Deren, three daughters; Janette Derendinger, Melissa Deren and Kimberly Nunn, three stepdaughters; Charity Henderson, Elisha Faith Bennet and Hope Duncan. four sisters; Pattie Bruce, Beverly Ongawee, Cathy Derendinger and Terri Derendinger, 15 grandchildren and 4 great-grand children.

James ''Jim'' served in the US Army during the Vietnam era. After leaving the service, he served as a law enforcement officer in Blue Springs, Missouri and Yuma, Arizona. After leaving law enforcement, he worked with his father in construction and continued that profession after his father passed. Jim served God as an evangelist for many years and loved his mission trips to Mexico building churches.

Until the end his one focus was bringing lost souls to Christ. God had put a calling on his life many years ago. Jim and his wife Ronda had spent the last ten years traveling across the United States wherever God called them to pray with the sick and the lost. Whether in a hospital, hardware store, ice cream shop or along a roadside, God always led him to the souls in need. His life has touched so many and He will be greatly missed by family and friends.

Visitation will be from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm on Tuesday, December 4, 2018 at the Roller-McNutt Funeral Home in Clinton, Arkansas. Funeral services will be at 1:00 pm at the funeral home. Interment with military honors will be in Weaver Cemetery on Banner Mountain Road in Shirley, Arkansas.

John 5:24 "Truly, truly, I say to you, whoever hears my word and believes him who sent me has eternal life. He does not come into judgment, but has passed from death to life."

May you Rest In Peace big brother.
Philippians 3:20-21 New King James Version (NKJV)

20 For our citizenship is in heaven, from which we also eagerly wait for the Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ, 21 who will transform our lowly body that it may be conformed to His glorious body, according to the working by which He is able even to subdue all things to Himself.

Our thoughts and prayers are with you and all of the family during this difficult time. We were privileged to get to be in Church with this precious soul a few times and it was a pure joy and such a blessing. His love for our Lord and his family was very evident. May God bring you peace and a special comfort from His loving arms. From the English Family
