Donald R. Ripper Sr., 79, of Marianna, Arkansas passed away Sunday, March 17, 2019 at his home. He was born on Wednesday, February 14, 1940 to John Ripper and Hassie Batey Ripper.
He is survived by his wife Terry Ripper, of the home; one son, Donald Ripper Jr. (Peggy), of Lexa, Arkansas; one daughter, Donna Teresa Reed, of Hernando, Mississippi; seven grandchildren, Blake Reed, Dustin Reed, Vance Ripper, Dexter Ripper, Drake Ripper, Madison Vance, and Brittany Floyd, and six great-grandchildren, Madison Reed, Kelsey Reed, Blakeley Reed, Brantley Reed, Mikaela Reed, and Adilyn Ripper, one brother, Marion Ripper (Ruby), one sister, Bonnie McDonald, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, four brothers, Frank, Joe, Harold, Alfred Ripper, and one sister, Martise Ripper.
Services for Mr. Ripper will be held Wednesday, March 20, 2019 at 2:00 P.M. at Assembly of God Church in Marianna, Arkansas with Reverend William Dowd officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to services. Burial will follow services at Marianna Memorial Park in Marianna, Arkansas. Roller-Citizens Funeral Home has charge of arrangements (870)295-2528. This man was a true example of a Christian. Always saw God shining through. He will be missed. Prayers all the family.
