Roger Glen Chapman, 59, of Greenbrier, passed away Sunday, March 8, 2020. He was born August 26, 1960 in Forrest City, Arkansas, to H. Ray and Earline Chapman.

Roger was preceded in death by his father; mother-in-law; Margaret Hollis and father-in-law; Oscar Wilson.  He is survived by his wife of 39 years; Melissa Chapman, son; Joshua Chapman, daughter; Jennifer Cargile (Weston), granddaughters; Jacie Chapman, Ella Chapman, Raven Cargile, Jaylyn Chapman, his mother; five siblings; Ray Chapman, Sherry McLaughlin, Keith Chapman, Tracy Bledsoe, Jody Chapman, and a host of nieces and nephews.

Roger was a devoted husband, father and grandfather. He was a truck driver in the steel industry for over 36 years and had over 4 million miles without an accident. He worked at Earle M Jorgensen from Aug, 1983 to April, 2010 and AAA Cooper Transportation from May 2010 to present.

He would be on the water most Saturdays where he enjoyed all types of fishing. But his favorite was Bass fishing. He loved being outdoors, camping with family and friends and most of all traveling the US & it's territories with his wife.

Roger delivered steel to me for many years. He was so laid back and easy going. I really liked him and I am very sad about his passing. I hope the family knows how much he was appreciated and that he will not be forgotten.

I hate that I lost you. With both of us being 60's babies. I am praying for Aunt Earline, Melissa,the kids and the rest of the family. I will see you again. Until then leave some fish for me.

There are no words to tell you how sorry I am.
Roger brought so much joy to everyone around him. He was truly a wonderful man and a shining light in so many people's lives. We will all miss him terribly. Please know that you are in our thoughts and prayers. Love you all!!

It won’t be the same without Roger! He always made me laugh and he is missed so much already! Heaven is sounding sweeter and love will roll the clouds away, turn the darkness into day, I’m so glad I know I will see Roger again in our Heavenly home. Our family loved Roger!
