Fay Coy Goodwin

of Little Rock, AR

September 4, 1930 - December 30, 2019

Fay Coy Goodwin of Little Rock, left this life to join the love of his life, Lois on December 30, 2019. He was born September 4, 1930 to Walter and Julia Coger Goodwin.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife; two brothers, Doyle and twin Ray; and one sister, Laura; a baby daughter and his grandson, Clay. He is survived by sons, Allan (Darce), David and Dale; granddaughters, Sheryl (Trafton), Krystle (Jason) and Lindy; four great-grandchildren, Anika, Wesley, Hayden and Madison. He has also left behind many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Growing up during the depression, Pop worked hard all of his life. For two years, he was a Little Rock motorcycle officer. He also worked for Borden Dairy until he opened his own country store which he worked alongside with Mom. He was a deacon at Martindale Baptist Church and a mason with the Mary Williams Lodge. Up until the 16th of December he was still able to take care of himself with very little assistance. He loved his boys and his girls and was able to relate that message to all of us in the last two weeks. He was the true patriarch of this family and he will be greatly missed.

Graveside service will be 11:00 a.m., Saturday, January 4, 2020 at Pinecrest Memorial Park. Visitation will be 5:00-7:00 p.m., Friday, January 3rd at Roller-Chenal Funeral Home.

living two houses down from Fay since I was twelve and right across the street from him and Lois when I married makes me an expert on his humor! He was always good for
A Laugh! He love to tease the girls! He told me once he would never forget when I moved into his neighborhood that was dominated by boys!! Lol of course I noticed that right before he mentioned it!! He loved his boys and his daughter Darce!! He will be missed for many many reasons! Too many to mention! He has many friends and family that will think of him with fond memories and lots to f stories to share! He will live on in our hearts! Go rest high on that mountain my friend!

I remember Fay with great fondness. He was a faithful member of Martindale Baptist Church, my Sunday School teacher, a kind and caring man who "walked the talk", and a good family friend.

He helped my family during a time of great distress and will always have a very special place in our hearts.

Out prayers and condolences to Fay's family and friends.

Richard, Colleen and Ruby Thompson.
