of Little Rock, AR
February 6, 1928 - October 10, 2019
Erva June Williford, 91 1/2 of Ferndale, Arkansas fell asleep on October 10, 2019. She was a devout Jehovah's Witness. She was preceded in death by her parents, Walter and Hazel McGrew; her husband of 56 years, Jamie Williford and her sister, Edna Davis James.
She leaves to cherish her memory, one son, Jim & Melody Williford; daughters, Vicki Bruce, Nancy & Don McDonald, and Pamela & Rodney Shepherd; 16 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren and a host of loving nieces, nephews and friends.
Being a kid from the depression era, she knew how to transform things. Mom used dollar fabric to make you look like a million. Simple hamburger, mushroom soup and rice made into a gourmet meal. Mom loved to shop, but she was happiest to find something to give away. She had the greenest thumb of any person known. Mom made the best cornbread and canned the best jelly. She took a recipe and tweaked it and it turned into everyone's favorite dessert, 'June's Delight'. She was a caregiver for her mother and the best legacy of all, she left us with the tools to survive in life. Mom had an infectious smile and a hug for all. If you knew her, you were a friend. "Come sit, I can make coffee or tea and let's visit." She would say.
Funeral services will be 10:00 am, Tuesday, October 15, 2019, at Roller Chenal funeral home, 13801 Chenal Parkway, Little Rock, AR (501) 224-8300. Visitation will be from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm on Monday, October 14, 2019, at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the World Wide Work of Jehovah's Witnesses, online www.jw.org

I loved me some Erva June. My family always called her Aunt Erva June. We were like family. I will miss her. I'm sending prayers for peace to the huge family she had. My mom, Bonnie Garner, always said she was her Best Friend.
