Nina Doris Ellis Hawley, 89, died September 10, 2019. She was born on July 28, 1930 in Searcy, Arkansas (White County) to Georgia and Fletcher Ellis. She grew up in the small town of Griffithville, Arkansas.
She is survived by her daughters, Donna Hawley Glover (Robert Mark Glover) of Memphis and Rhonda Hawley of Fayetteville, and grandson, Robert Zachary Glover of Memphis. She is preceded in death by her husband of 65 years, Harrison L. Hawley; her parents; sisters, Sada Waldron and Mildred Crystal; brothers, Elmo Ellis, Victor Ellis, and Virgil Ellis.
Nina was a homemaker for most of her adult life. In the late 1950's she worked as a telephone operator for the Southwestern Bell Company. She was a member of Rosedale Baptist Church and South Highland Baptist Church, Little Rock. Nina loved to sew and cook. She took great pride in the meals and desserts she prepared for her family and friends. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and friend and will be remembered for her kindness she shared with others.
Funeral services will be held 10 am, Friday, September 13, 2019 at Roller Chenal Funeral Home, 13801 Chenal Parkway, Little Rock, AR. Burial will follow at Pinecrest Memorial Park in Alexander, AR.

Lots of memories Pop and aunt Nina coming to daddy fletchers and Pop opening up the trunk of his car and it having beagles in it i could not wait for him to head to the old beltcher cementary . Me and Pedro would set with him and listen to them run ,those were some great memories .
