Earl Matthew Simmons, 89, of Little Rock, went to be with the Lord, August 7, 2019, he was born, October 7, 1929, to Robert and Alice Simmons. He graduated Central High School in 1948 and was a member of Chenal Valley Baptist Church.

Daddy enjoyed clearing properties, planting trees, auctions, traveling, history, and had a great memory. He loved Country and Gospel music, sang in the choir, and wrote songs.

He was preceded in death by his parents and our mother, Kay Simmons. He is survived by his daughters, Colleen Thompson (Richard), Sharon Simmons and Robin Gallo; granddaughters, Stephanie Renfro (Rob), Sarah Malcom (Kerry) and Samantha Craig, and 7 great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be 6:00-8:00 p.m., Friday, August 16th at Roller-Chenal Funeral Home, 13801 Chenal Parkway, Little Rock. Funeral service will be 10:00 a.m., Saturday, August 17th at Chenal Valley Baptist Church, 1800 Rahling Road, Little Rock. Interment will follow at Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Avilla.

Dad is loved and missed.

Coleen, Robin and Sharon, I'm so sorry I missed your dad's funeral this morning; I could not find the church. I drove around looking for it until 10:10. Directions from the internet did not help. Sincere condolences to y'all.
