Jewell Dean McKissack, age 85 of Little Rock, Arkansas passed away on Thursday, June 6, 2019. She was born on March 17, 1934, in Center Ridge, Arkansas to her late parents, Archie Joseph and Opal Mayall Gordon. Jewell retired from the Arkansas State Treasurer's office after 29 1/2 years of service and was a member of First United Methodist Church of Bryant. In addition, Jewell loved camping, traveling and in her younger years, she enjoyed square dancing. Jewell truly loved her family and friends and will be greatly missed.

She is survived by her husband of 68 years, Jerry McKissack; 1 daughter, Sherrie Williams (Thomas Eddie) of Benton, AR; 2 grandchildren, Leah Briggs (Jason) of Benton, AR and Brian Hutchins (Christi) of Little Rock, AR; 5 great-grandchildren and a host of extended family and friends. She is preceded in death by her son-in-law, James Henson.

Funeral services will be 10:00 am Monday, June 10, 2019, in the chapel of Roller-Chenal Funeral home, 13801 Chenal Pkwy, Little Rock, AR (501) 224-8300 with Pastor Susan Ledbetter officiating. A visitation will be from 3:00 pm until 5:00 pm on Sunday, June 9, 2019, at the funeral home. A private family burial at the Arkansas State Veteran's Cemetery will be held at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to First United Methodist Church, 508 N. Reynolds Road, Bryant, Arkansas 72022.
