Mr. Johnny C. Davis, Sr., age 84 years old, of Little Rock, AR died January 20, 2019 at 9:46 pm in Bryant, AR. He was preceded in death by his son, Johnny C. Davis, Jr.; his mother & father, Mary Davis and Johnnie Davis; his brother, Teddy Davis; his grandson, Matt Todd and his granddaughter, Amy Riggin. He is survived by 3 daughters: Mara Moody and husband, Wayne Moody of Little Rock; Carol Davis of Little Rock; and Jennifer Bailey and husband, Mark Bailey of Malvern. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great grandson.
He was a loving father and grandfather. He had a love for driving trucks and operating equipment of all kinds. He was a cowboy thru and thru. He loved horses, wagons, rodeos, and the whole cowboy way of life. He will be missed dearly by all his family.
Services will be held Saturday, January 26, 2019 at Roller-Chenal Funeral Home, in Little Rock. Visitation at 11:00 am with Memorial service to follow at 12:30 p.m. Burial will be held at Ida Mission Cemetery at a later date.
I am so sorry for the loss of your loved one, Johnny. Death is very painful and the Bible speaks of death being an enemy at 1 Corinthians 15:26, but we can look forward to seeing this enemy being brought to nothing and very soon you will see Johnny again. At Revelation 21:4 it says, 'And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore.
I hope you will find comfort in the Scriptures to help you through your sad time.

I sure love my Uncle Carol. A true Cowboy through and through. I don't think I ever remember seeing him without his cowboy hat on.
