Patricia Crohen Benson

of Little Rock, AR

August 2, 1929 - November 21, 2018

Patricia Crohen Benson was born August 2, 1929 and transitioned November 21, 2018. She was the first of 5 children born to parents, William and Pearl Crohen of Findlay, Ohio. She was followed into the world a few minutes later by her twin sister, Margaret. Over the next years her sisters, Janie and Susie came along and then brother, William. Her husband of 52 years, Daniel Benson; her parents; and sisters, Margaret Maine and Susie Meter predeceased her. She is survived by 5 children who love and honor her: Deborah Benson Steinbeck of Denver, CO; Leigh Ann Benson of La Jolla, CA; Daniel Patrick Benson of Little Rock AR; Elizabeth Lynn Benson of Santa Rosa Beach, FL; and Kirk Anthony Benson of Jacksonville, AR. She has 13 grandchildren who adore her and 5 great-grandchildren, with more to come to whom she will be a legend.

She fell in love and married the love of her life Daniel F Benson and remained in love for 52 years until he passed at 73. She spent a lifetime raising children and following her husband as he moved for business until they settled in Conway, AR 40 Years ago. He opened Benson Pump Company with his sons and it is still thriving after 33 years.

Patricia ''Patti Pearl'' is a shining example of how one person can make a difference. She has touched countless lives and although her light no longer shines here in this world a bright new light now shines in the heavens. In each place she moved her family, she became active in charity. She was active in Catholic charities. She rang the bell for the Salvation Army, brought bibles for incarcerated men, was instrumental in the inception of Renewal Ranch and many more personal good works. Her life was one to be celebrated as she lived it to the fullest. She considered herself fortunate to have the life she had in spite of all the physical and emotional obstacles she battled through. She was a remarkable woman as anyone whose life she touched would attest. Her family is proud to claim such a fine woman as family.

There will be a small private service for the family. In lieu of flowers, please send memorial donations to Renewal Ranch, 75 Lake Dr, Houston, AR 72070.

So sorry for your loss. May you find comfort in the words spoken at Revelation 21:3,4 With that I heard a loud voice from the throne say: “Look! The tent of God is with mankind, and he will reside with them, and they will be his people. And God himself will be with them. And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away".

I truly loved this lady, she was an inspiration to all. I met the Benson's on the 1980s when they first arrived on Conway and spent many wonderful hours in their company at work and play. Patti Pearl was a caring, loving person and will be missed. I will be thinking of the family and will say a prayer.

My deepest sympathy for the loss of your sweet mother. It was my greatest honor to bring her the Eucharist. She always greeted me with a huge smile and was most grateful for my visits. I will miss her smile and positive disposition. She loved her family; you brought her joy. My prayers are with you.

What a Blessing it was to know and be a friend of Patty Pearl !

How she loved Dan and her Children, WOW, we all should be so lucky, as to experience that devotion and love.

Patty was such a giving person, who made a positive difference in the lives of so many people. She was a tireless worker for so many various charities; for the past 25+ years, whenever I head the bells ringing and saw the Salvation Army Red Pot, I would immediately think of Patty.

She will be greatly missed by all of her Children and Grandchildren but over time, the memories she made with each of them will be priceless.

Words are poor things when we suffer the loss of a loved one.
Still we want to convey our desire ,however inadequate, to send our deepest sympathy to each of you.
Our prayers are with all of her family during these difficult times and yes, their is a bright new light now shining in the heavens.

Words cannot express how blessed my family and I have been by having Patti Pearl in our lives. We all think of her as part of our family; she was so kind and loving to all of us. We have so many happy memories of times with Patti and miss her terribly. She was extremely proud of her children and grandchildren and loved each one of you unconditionally. My heart aches for all of you as you say your goodbyes; you're in my prayers.

I had the pleasure of working with Mr. B, D.P.and Kirk at Aermotor for several years, and always enjoyed when Mrs. B stopped by to visit.

She loved her family and spoke of each of you often, with a smile on her face. She was very proud of her children and grandchildren.

I will be praying for each of you as you adjust to life here on earth without her, and knowing you can see her again in heaven.
