I'm so sorry to learn of Jim's passing Bill Fox let me know. It has been a long time since I had seen Jim. I have many fond memories while we were all at the U of A. I think the last time we were together was when the two of you visited when I was in New Orleans and you came for the Sugar Bowl game. Thoughts and prayers are with you during this difficult time.

Dear Barb,

It was certainly with shock and profound sadness that I learned of Jim's recent passing! While I realize that words are totally inadequate and do little, if anything, to address your loss and grief, please know that my thoughts and prayers are with you and your family/loved ones.

I've often heard that a man's true measure of worth is measured by both the quality of his life and the difference, if any, his earthly presence has had on those whom he touched. If that be the case, please rest assured that his life was truly MEANINGFUL and WELL LIVED. Those of us who had the honor of knowing him are most definitely the wiser and richer for the experience. If any man can be judged to be truly good it was most definitely Jim.

May God grant you His most infinite mercy and peace in the moments and days ahead.

Barbara,
We were shocked to learn of Jim's passing tonight when we finally read the paper. If we'd known earlier, we could have made it to the visitation. We were just in Fayetteville this past weekend and the memories came flooding back.

Please know that you are in our thoughts and prayers during this time of great loss. We will be in touch soon. Peace be with you.
