Mary Ellen Freeman, 96, of Quitman, AR, went to be with the Lord, Tuesday, February 4, 2020. She was born October 19, 1923, in Enola, AR, to the late Albert and Ester (Starr) Smith. Mary was also preceded in death by her husband of 32 years, Samuel Alvin Freeman; her daughter, Freda Dyke; her son-in-law, Bud Holland; grandson, Greg Holland; 2 great-grandsons, RJ Holland and Eric England; and 3 sisters.
Left to cherish her memory is her loving family; her sons, Larry (Paulette) Freeman, Joe Allen (Rose Ellen) Freeman and Rayburne Freeman; her daughters, Sammie Holland, Kathy (Ritchie) Adkisson and Joyce (Tommy) Merritt; 15 grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren; 15 great-great grandchildren; her brother, Albert Wayne Smith; her sisters, Betty James, Regenia Allen, Linda Moore, Marie Spoerl and Gail Page; and a host of nieces and nephews.
