of Damascus, AR
February 9, 1927 - October 12, 2019
Ella Belle Nicholson, 92, of Damascus, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Saturday, October 12, 2019. She was born on February 9, 1927, in Bee Branch, AR, to Charles and Dovie Edwards. She was a member of the First Methodist Church of Damascus. Ella Belle was preceded in death by her parents, her husband of 51 years Robert Nicholson; her loving daughter Karen Jo Nicholson; brother Claude, Cliff, Lamon, Earl, Henry, Dallas, and Luke Edwards, and sisters Corilla Sohn and Iola Pearson.
Left to cherish her memory is her daughter Kathy (Rod) Davis of Damascus; grandsons Chad (Dee Ann) Davis of Greenbrier, Brandon (Shelly) Davis of Damascus, and great-grandsons Spencer and Parker Davis of Greenbrier. Ella Belle's favorite pastimes were working in her flowerbeds and sewing. She will be remembered most for her selfless love towards her family, and the desire to make sure no one left her home without being well-fed. No matter what life threw her, she never lost her sense of humor or wit. The greatest joy in her life was spending time with her grandsons.
The family would like to give special thanks to her caregivers Laura Caldwell, Irene Sorenson, and Etta Hall, as well as the Greenbrier Nursing Home staff and nurses for their devoted care.
Visitation will be held from 6:00 to 8:00pm on Tuesday, October 15, at Roller-McNutt Funeral Home of Greenbrier. The funeral service will be held at 10:00am on Wednesday, October 16, at Roller-McNutt and will be officiated by Bro. Freddie Mark Wilcox and Cody Hiland. Burial will follow at Spires Cemetery in Damascus with Jim Sweeney officiating.

Kathy and Family,,
I am very sorry to hear of Mrs. Ella Belle’s passing. May God give you and all of her family strength and comfort as you mourn her passing.
Got your message about Ella, she is now at peace and enjoying the open arms of those who left before her. My deepest sympathy to all of the family as I know she will be missed.
I will always remember the stories she told me of living on East Mountain, her brothers with their hound dogs, going to school and the farm life she lived.
I pray that your family will find comfort in the Lord during this time. May God Bless you all
Take Care :) Irene
