August 26, 1934 - September 12, 2018

Charles Lee Fowler, a loving father, grandfather, brother, and husband, passed away in his home Wednesday, September 12, 2018. Charles was born August 26, 1934 the son of Jess Earnest and Clara Mae Edwards Fowler.

He worked for the Van Buren County Highway Department, Rock-Tenn Company, and the Mel-Hart Boat Company. He married Margaret Ann Gunter in 1957 and she preceded him in death in 2009 after 52 years of marriage. Charles was a member of Sardis Church in Gravesville, AR.

Survivors include his children Kayla Glover and her husband Mickey, Kristi Brown and her husband Steve; grandchildren Josh Glover and his wife Tresse, Tye Glover and his wife Maggie, Katie Brown Hall and her husband Jacob, and Kacie Brown; great grandchildren Emma, Finley, Caroline, Sophie, and Adaline Glover due March 2019; one brother Arvis Fowler, three sisters Fay Dean Duncan, Ardell Robinson, Edra Mae Glover, and numerous family members and close friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents and three brothers, Willard Afton, Jarl Don, Danny Earl, and two sisters Lucille Hartwick, and Syble Walls.

Charles took great pride in working his farm, loved watching westerns, gospel DVDs, and seeing his grandchildren. To Charles, nothing was more important than his commitment to God and his family.

Visitation will be from 6pm to 8pm Friday, September 14th at Roller-McNutt Funeral Home in Greenbrier. Funeral services will be held at 2pm, Saturday at Sardis Church with Mickey Glover and Donnie Fowler officiating. Burial will follow at Fowler Cemetery.

So many good memories from when our parents spent time together and family events at your farm and ours and grandparents farm good times as we grew up together family means so much and so many people forget that my parents are gone and yet the memories are there and the pain off loss even knowing we will see them again remains love you guys
