He loved all things sports, especially baseball and softball. During his high school years, he played American Legion baseball where he earned all-star and MVP honors. After high school, he played collegiately for the UCA Bears baseball team, where he earned All-AIC honors two years.
During his adult years, he played softball and enjoyed golf and hiking. When his wife became the softball coach at UCA, he served several years as her assistant coach. His work made a positive impact on the lives of many softball student-athletes.
He is survived by his wife of 32 years, Natalie Shock; two brothers, Bobby Shock of Mountain View, AR, and Perry Shock Jr. (Beverly), of Sherwood, AR; three nephews, and a host of friends.
A memorial service to celebrate his life will be held at 3pm, Thursday, March 12, 2020, at Roller-McNutt Funeral Home in Conway with a visitation at 2pm.
In lieu of flowers, the family request that donations be made to the UCA Purple Circle Foundation at ucasports.com/pc or by check to UCA Athletics, 201 Donaghey, Bear Hall, Conway, AR, 72034. Kevin loved all things UCA and nothing would make him prouder.
Prayers for you and your family.
Dear Shock Family -
So saddened to learn of the loss of Kevin (Bobo). Still unbelievable to me. I knew Kevin most all my life and was close back in our high school years. Played lots of baseball, basketball and softball over the years from grade school to college. A lot of memories made in the old neighborhood and the Fairgrounds. It was like the "Little Rascals" back in the day. He was a good man! Gone but NEVER forgotten!!
Praying God's peace and comfort for all the family now and the days ahead.
George Baker and the Baker Family
Natalie,
My heart goes out to you and your family.
Prayers for the shock family. Kevin will be missed. RIP Bobo.
A gentle giant. Rest in peace, Kevin. You will be missed.
Natalie, I am so sad to learn of the passing of Kevin. He was a wonderful kind person. Please know that my thoughts and prayers are with you and the rest of the family.
Kevin was a good friend to me over the years. We've known each other since the early 1970's and played baseball together on the same team. Kevin's dad Perry and my dad coached us, and boy did they ever have some combined baseball experience! Two great dads we had to learn from. Kevin could knock the cover off of a baseball when he hit it. He will forever be remembered by me and my family. Kev was one of a kind, and he will be sorely missed. My prayers to Natalie and the family. Rest easy my ole' friend. I know you're in Heaven warming up first base.
Rip buddy, you will be missed, I was glad to have known you.
So sorry to see this... I know Kevin as I have been doing his and Natalie's taxes for the last few years....Oh Natalie and family my heart goes out to you...Praying for strength and comfort during this time. ...My son Jason Judd just got his wings March 5th and we too are doing a Celebration of Life only it is on 3/16/2020. My deepest sympathy . Linda Kelso

Natalie-
I am heartbroken for you. Praying for you and your family.
Kevin always went above and beyond to make sure we were prepared for the season, the game, and for life. From oiling and tightening the laces on our gloves, staying with us in the cages for one last “good oneâ€, and being there for us as a listening ear or word of encouragement as many of us were miles away from home and just needed a moment. Thank you for being a constant support for all of us, we will miss you greatly!
Kevin you will be missed, thanks for all of the memories you gave us.
I’m praying for the Shock family
