Prayers for Roddy and family, he will be missed by many.
I have been communicating with Roddy for the past few months on Facebook & messenger (first time in many years ) and we were planning on meeting for lunch next time I came to Conway,
I couldn’t believe what I was reading on Facebook when I saw the post about his passing.

Brother Roddy was such a giant, wonderful, loving force in my teen years at New Hope Baptist and in 1986 officiated at my marriage to Matt Hiland. I was very saddened to learn of his death when I happened to be in Conway attending the funeral of Dean Pike, my husband's Uncle. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to stay for Bro. Roddy's visitation or service as I needed to get back to Texas. I tried to say goodbye to him at Roller-McNutt the morning of the 10th, but unfortunately, the family hadn't had their time with him yet and I wasn't able to do so. My love goes out to the family and all of the people who loved him! May our memories of this special man give us comfort during the days, months and years to come.

Mr.Roddy will be missed terribly by so many. He will always have a special place in my heart for the love he showed our family and especially our daughter who attended Kings kids. He and miss Sharon loved her deeply. He always had a hug and a kind word and never walked away without telling me he loved me. I know he is rejoicing in heaven and I look forward to seeing him again .

I did not know Roddy except in passing as our children grew up, but in the past year we became FB friends and I loved his post, both spiritual and the funny ones! He was a real blessing to me and I shared many of his posts. I send my love and prayers to this precious family.

My prayers go out to all of you. I always loved his positive spirit. There was not a time I saw him that he didn't give me that infectious smile, hug my neck, and ask about my family. He will be sorely missed, but he will be remembered always by the people who knew him.

My heart is heavy tonight as I just learned of Mr. King's passing. I first met Mr. King when I attended a friend's church several times back in high school where he was the pastor. While in college, I waited tables at Ryan's and he used to sit in my section almost weekly. We always chatted which usually led to him giving me good advice about something and of course we always talked about Jesus. The best piece of advice he gave me was "You're just as married with or without a big ceremony." The next day, he met my husdand and I at the church and married us in front of our family members. I will always carry him in my heart because of this. He was a very special and dear soul. I know he will be missed immensely by his family and those who had the privilege of meeting and knowing him. Prayers going up for his family during this difficult time.

My dear sweet friend... The king... loved this man and his wife the queen. He was a kind and gentle and quiet man but when he spoke and when he preached you listened because what he said and what he had to offer was valuable. He was honest and a genuine man who was in love with Jesus and his wife and it showed every day. He was a blessing to me and was so good to me. I miss him
