Betty Deaton

of Conway, AR

October 3, 1943 - November 6, 2019

Betty Deaton, 76, of Conway, AR, went to be with the Lord, Wednesday, November 6, 2019. She was born October 3, 1943, in Conway, AR, to the late Ermon D. and Evelyn F. (Jobe) Houston. Betty was also preceded in death by her sister, Mary Kelso.
Betty devoted her life to her family. Her favorite holiday was Christmas, which afforded her extra time with her grandchildren as she enjoyed watching them open their presents. Betty was a determined woman that could accomplish anything she put her mind to. She had a fun, loving, nurturing personality. Left to cherish her memory is her loving family; her husband of 50 years, Jim Deaton; sons, Derek Deaton and Bob Deaton both of Conway; grandchildren, Abigail Deaton, Maci Deaton and Bailey Deaton; step-grandchildren, Alison Schenebeck, David Allen, Nathan Moix and Nicholas Moix; step great-grandchildren, Piper, Parker and Carson; brother, Bob Houston (Grace); sister, Diane Rousey (Bill), and a host of nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be 6:00 to 8:00pm, Thursday, November 7th, 2019, at Roller-McNutt Funeral Home in Conway. Funeral service will be 10:00am, Friday, November 8, 2019, at Roller-McNutt Funeral Home with interment to follow at Crestlawn Memorial Park in Conway.

My experience with Betty at St Vincent showed me that she was a caring technologist that took pride in her work. I know that she will be greatly missed by her family and friends. She and her family will be in my prayers. May she rest in piece !

Betty is a legend in the RAD dept at CRMC. She had a huge hand in making me the CT tech i am today. She and Virginia were quite the pair in CT. Betty was full of stories that would have you rolling with laughter. Never a dull moment in the dept with Betty around. You'd better be on your toes or you'd have Betty to deal with! I am very lucky to have had Betty for a teacher. Thank you Betty for all the knowledge, stories, and experience. Much love!

Deaton Family,
So sorry to hear about Ms Betty.
I just visited with her a few days ago. The Mitchell family lived in the same neighborhood as she & her family plus I worked with her at CRMC for years. Loved hearing all her stories about the kids & grandkids with her huge amount of energy & that big ole smile.

Betty and I go way back to 1994 when I first came to CRMC. She was one of my first work friends here. We had so many laughs together and I saw in her a very compassionate person genuinely caring for her patients...like they were her family. I know she is loved by many ...and I am one of those. Prayers and sincere condolences to her family.
