EMILY FLORENCE (JOHNSON) STRASSLE of Conway, went to be with her Lord July 15, 2019. She was born May 12,1931 in Atlanta, Texas, a daughter of Clarence and Katie Johnson.
Emily was the loving wife of her surviving husband, George, for 67 years. She was blessed with 3 children, son Phil and daughters Dana and Laura, 6 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren and a half-sister, Janet.

Emily was preceded in death by her parents, 3 brothers, Lewis, Strait and Charles, sister Alice and 3 aunts and 5 uncles.

Emily was a graduate of Bigelow High School and Arkansas Baptist School of Nursing. She obtained her RN nursing license in 1951. Her professional nursing career spanned 40 years including 10 years in Arkansas, 6 years in Emporia, Kansas, multiple brief stints in Dayton, Ohio and 24 years in Roswell, New Mexico where she retired.

There will be a funeral mass at the family church, St. Boniface in New Dixie, Perry County Arkansas on Friday, July 26. Rosary at 10:30 A.M. followed by the funeral mass at 11:00 A.M., officiated by Reverend Richard P. Davis.

She will be interred in the St. Boniface cemetery.

Mr. Strassle, Laura, Dana, and Phil,

I am so sorry for your loss. Mrs. Strassle was a wonderful and loving person to all who knew her. She was a very caring person who helped raise many children, including me. She will be truly missed. Prayers for you all. Love you, Donna
