Melvin D. Brewer, 74, of Houston, Arkansas, passed away July 14, 2019. He was born September 19, 1944 to L.O. & Cora Brewer. Melvin was retired from Sherwin-Williams and was of Christian faith. He was predeceased by his wife Sandy, his parents, and two brothers Willis & James Brewer.
He is survived by his children, Tina Brewer & Melvin E. (Anna) Brewer; and Carl, Wendy, & Dennis (Maggie) Ortmann. Also survived by his grandchildren Jeremy Dominguez, Lance Brewer, Bailey Orman, & John Brewer; and Justin & Makayla Montgomery, Thomas, Christopher, Courtney, Zachary & Jacob Ortmann; and three great-grandchildren, Bella, Brynlee & Brendan; one brother Alton (Ruth) Brewer and one sister Audrey Cole.
A memorial service will be scheduled for a later date.
Known Melvin since 5th grade, been best friends ever since. You & Sandy Wil be remembered by me as long as I live.

Mr. Melvin and Mrs. Sandra were my long time customers, and they will be missed.

Melvin is on my top ten list as being a true gentleman. He always was very proactive in helping me solve many problems. I shall miss him and Sandy.
I've known Melvin over 35 years. He was one of the good guys. Very sorry to hear about him .
