In loving memory of Betty Sue Owen Trimble, who passed away at home in McKinney, TX, on July 6, 2019, of natural causes. She was born in Conway, AR, on July 11, 1925, to the late George W. Owen and Emma Jordan Owen. She is survived by her husband of 69 years, Eugene E. Trimble, of McKinney, a son, Gary A. Trimble (Marketa), a daughter, Janet Trimble Long (Louis), and a sister, Joy Fox. She is also survived by six grandchildren: Andrea, Jordan (Chrissy), Matthew, Forrest, Philip, and Linnea Long. Betty was preceded in death by three sisters: Nina Bollen, Jo Waggoner, and Ann Naylor.

Betty was a native of Faulkner County, AR, and was a graduate of Vilonia High School and of the University of Maryland. She lived in Vilonia, the Washington, D.C. suburbs, and McKinney, TX. During World War II she supported the war effort by working in the Arkansas Ordnance Plant in Jacksonville. In Washington, D.C., she greatly enjoyed her career working for the Committee for Economic Development. She retired with her husband Eugene to McKinney in 1999. Betty adored her family and supported them in all their endeavors. She enjoyed sewing and researching the books that she authored: ''The Path from the Cellar'' (2001), and ''Everybody's War: the American People in World War II'' (forthcoming).

Betty was a member of the Canyon Creek Presbyterian Church, Richardson, TX, and the John Abston Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution, McKinney, TX.

A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, July 10, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. at Turrentine Jackson Morrow Funeral Home, 2525 N. Central Expressway, Allen, TX 75013, Tel. 972-562-2601 (www.tjmfuneral.com).

A funeral service will be held on Friday, July 12, 2019 at 10:00 a.m. at Roller-McNutt Funeral Home, 650 Central Landing Blvd., Conway, AR 72032, Tel. 501-327-7727 (www.rollerfuneralhomes.com), with burial following at Crestlawn Memorial Park, 472 US Highway 64 East, Conway, AR 72032.
