Ezra "Dee" Keathley

of Modesto, CA

July 30, 1936 - June 12, 2019

Ezra ''Dee'' Keathley, 82, of Modesto, CA, passed away at his home on June 12, 2019. He was born July 30, 1936 in Enola, AR and lived most of his life in Modesto, California. Dee was preceded in death by his parents, Fred and Noma Keathley and brother, Larry Keathley. Left to cherish his memory are his sisters Louise Ussery of North Little Rock, Margie Bissell of Brownsville, Texas, brother and sister-in-law, Fred and Sandy Keathley of Modesto, CA and his many nieces, nephews, and friends.

Dee had a successful 35 year career as a supervisor at Campbell Soups and was loved by his co-workers. More important to him than his career, Dee loved the Lord and loved his family. He gave a portion of his life caring for his mom and spent much time with his nieces and nephews showing them the many fun attractions of California.

A Christian from an early age, he constantly demonstrated the gift of caring for others. As a young man, he enjoyed teaching Sunday school and coached an award winning youth baseball team. His love for baseball continued throughout his life and he was a loyal Giants baseball fan. In his adult life, he was an avid bowler where he won many awards, including winning the Northern California Regional BPA bowling championship, participated in National tournaments and was a champion of the ABC Century bowling club.

Dee had a big heart and was willing to help anyone in need. In his final years, Dee developed a close relationship with the Lord and was ready to meet his maker. He was loved by his entire family and will be missed.
