of Conway, AR
March 14, 1927 - June 1, 2019
Vera Holovko McPherson, 92, of Conway (residing in Memphis TN) died early Saturday, June 1, 2019 at home surrounded by the love of her family and friends. She was born in a small village in Ukraine Russia. She met her husband and the love of her life, James Monroe McPherson, in Nuremburg, Germany. They were married and Monroe brought her home with him to Conway, Arkansas; where she immediately became part of his family. She worked at Kimberly Clarke for 20 years where she made many lifelong friends. We credit Kimberly Clarke for motivating her to get her driver license, which was both a blessing and a curse.
She is preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, James Monroe McPherson.
Survivors include her two daughters, Arlene Kowalski (Ron) and Elizabeth Gilmore (Barry) of Cordova, TN; two sons, David McPherson (Jo Ellen) of North Little Rock, AR and James McPherson of San Francisco; her sister Carolyn Young of Wynne, AR; three grandchildren, Kelly, Dylan (Amee) and Scott; two great grandchildren, Gwendolyn and Jonathan; along with many nieces, nephews and a host of friends.
Funeral Service will be 1:00 PM Saturday, June 8, 2019 at Roller McNutt Funeral Home in Conway. Visitation will begin one hour prior at Noon at the Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Crestlawn Memorial Park.
So sorry of your loss. Your mom was a very sweet lady and know she will be missed by all that knew and loved her.
I worked with Vera many years at Kimberly Clark. Lost touch with her after she retired. Vera was a good line leader with good work ethics. I enjoyed working with her. Sorry for your loss.
David and family,
I am so sorry to hear about the loss of your Mom and Scott’s Grandmother, as John Puddephatt, would try to call her. He was really crazy about Mack as well as her. You and your family are in my thoughts and in my prayers ðŸ™.
See you this summer!
