Betrice Pauliene Price

of Conway, AR

August 26, 1919 - May 24, 2019

Betrice Pauliene Phillips Price went to be with her Savior on May 24, 2019, where she was reunited with her parents Marion Phillips and Aldora Shoemaker Phillips, husband Elmer Eugene Price, son Helton Gail Price, three brothers, and three sisters. She was part of a generation who loved selflessly, worked incredibly hard, and took care of their neighbors.
Born August 26, 1919, in Holland, Arkansas she is survived by the following family members whose lives were profoundly affected by her exemplary life:
daughter Paulette Ross (James), special niece Teresa (Jimmy) Johnson, sister, Alzora Watson, brother-in-law, Joe T Robinson; grandchildren Gaylon (Kristie) Ross; Holly (John) Meriweather, Jeannie (Kyle) Ratliff, Daren (Sarah) Price, and Janise Ross; great-grandchildren Kayleigh (Ty) Hatchett, Tyler Ratliff, Landon (Hailey) Meriweather, Sidney Meriweather, Olivia (Jansen) Riddle, Sam Ross, Ava Price; and great-great-grandson Phillip Riddle.
She met Elmer at Holland High School in the ninth grade. They married at the Faulkner County Courthouse on March 23, 1940. During Elmer's Naval service in World War II, Betrice and Gail traveled to visit him when he was on leave.
After the war, Paulette was born, and they built a home in 1946 where they lived and farmed until his death in 1984. Although her body began to fail her as she aged, her mind remained sharp, and she shared her story, her memories of the Depression, the war, family members she loved well and what it was like to work the land.
She will be lovingly remembered for her cooking, her love of flowers, her lifelong work ethic, her hospitality and her strength, but her greatest legacy is her faith: She put God first in her life, loved to read and teach the Bible and faithfully prayed for family and friends.

Her family would like to thank the doctors, nurses and staff of Conway Regional Medical Center and Kindred Hospice who lovingly cared for her. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to Pickles Gap Baptist Church, where she was a longtime member.

Visitation will be at Roller McNutt Funeral Home Tuesday, May 28, 2019 at 9:00AM followed by a Celebration of her life at 10:00AM. A Graveside service will follow at Crestlawn Memorial park.
