of Quitman, AR
September 5, 1943 - February 12, 2019
Robert ''Bob'' Allen Groff, born on September 5, 1943 died on Tuesday, February 12, 2019 at his home in Quitman, Arkansas. From Boyertown, Pennsylvania he moved to Arkansas when he was 36 years old.
Bob was the son of Allen Groff and Leah Luft, and the fourth eldest of thirteen children. He was a dedicated husband of Julia Groff for 43 years, the proud father of three strong-willed children, Robert Groff, Jr., Kelsey Groff, and Dulcinea Groff, and a passionate grandfather to the new joy of his life, Charlotte Groff.
Bob was a kindhearted man, and lived a life full of passion for his family and curiosity of nature. His welcoming spirit, contagious smiles, and the joy he brought to those around him were ever present.
Bob was an architect, a builder, a farmer, and an inventor. He loved to teach others how to grow fruits and vegetables, and how to hunt and fish. His life's work will endure through the family he created, the houses he constructed, and the food and tree farm he cultivated. The beautiful farmstead he developed in the foothills of the Ozarks is a lasting testament to his passion and vision.
Please join us in honoring his life at a memorial service on Saturday, February 16, 2019 at 3 PM at the Roller-McNutt Funeral Home in Conway, Arkansas.
We rented his little yellow house in Quitman for several years, and became friends with Bob & Julia. Great people & good friends. Hope to see them both again one day!

Our love and prayers go out to Julie, Bob Jr., Kelsey, Dulcinea and extended family. Bob was a kind brother. He was a man of fine character, integrity, and a true gentleman. He was always seeking to learn about God's creation around him. He will be greatly missed.
What a wonderful man Bob was. We were next door neighbors for several years and loved our conversations with Bob and his family. Bob taught me so much about gardening and fruit trees. We will always remember him as a kind and friendly soul. May God's peace rest on his family.
Thinking about you and your family at this time. Praying for all.
Praying for peace and comfort during this time.

A sweet, wonderful man with a quick smile and a big heart. He was a hard worker that built many things in his lifetime - but his most wonderful creation was his family. I’m thankful that God blessed me and my family by introducing us to the Groff clan so many years ago. Our thoughts and prayers are with you this week. Love, Drew, Shannon and Anna Li
Our hearts and prayers are with each of you. Uncle Bob was truly an amazing man by the words you speak of him and of the times we’ve gotten to spend with him. We will forever be grateful for that day he came all the way from Arkansas to Florida to attend our wedding. We will cherish that forever! We love you all!
Love, Jared, Theary, Lydia & Luke Ritter
