of Conway, AR
February 25, 1954 - February 3, 2019
James Lee McDaniel, 64, of Conway, Arkansas, departed from this life on Sunday, February 3, 2019. He was born on February 25, 1954 in Clinton, Arkansas. He attended New Life Church in Conway.
A 1972 graduate of Conway High School, James also graduated from the University of Central Arkansas with a Bachelors Degree in Accounting in 1976.
James never met a stranger, joked with everyone, and always tried to brighten everyone's day. He was a sports enthusiast, Cub Scout Master and a computer whiz who helped everyone in the family with their computers, networks, etc.
His son, Ben, was so dear to him. When Ben was young, James traveled the state and beyond to watch Him compete in taekwondo and eventually become the National Champion. Over the years he continued to encourage his son in anything he took on. The last few years he never missed one of Ben's softball games. He was one of Ben's biggest fans.
James was preceded in death by his mom, Lois Hankins. Left to cherish his memories include his son, Benjamin McDaniel, his dad, Oather Hankins, and three siblings; Gene (Gwen) Hankins, Vickie Kingston and Teresa (Russell) Wilson. He is survived by eleven nieces and nephews (Richard, Catherine, Alina, T.J., Brian, Alicia, Christopher, Kyle, Allison, Bethany and Christopher) and fourteen great-nieces and nephews (Mataya, Victoria, William, Zeb, Nanette, Kylie, Kacen, Kyoko, Sierra, Gunner, Olivia, Jetton, Owen and Ellen).
James is also survived by two Godsons, David and Dustin Sipes.
A Life Celebration Service will be held on Saturday, February 9th at 10:00 am at Roller-McNutt Funeral Home in Conway, AR.
The family requests any memorials be made to the charity James faithfully supported - Renewal Ranch at https://www.therenewalranch.org/donate-1
