Ruth (Maynard) Chafin, 92, of Conway, AR, went to be with the Lord Wednesday, December 26, 2018. She was born March 11, 1926 in Landstreet Mines, WV to the late Jacob and Mollie (Clark) Maynard. Ruth was preceded in death by her son, Raymond K. ''Ray'' Chafin, Jr. and her brothers, Warren G. Maynard and Jacob A. Maynard, Jr.
Ruth devoted her life to her family. She was a selfless woman that had a quiet intelligence about her. In her spare time Ruth enjoyed bird watching and collecting books on ornithology. She was loved very much by her friends and family, who will dearly miss her beautiful smile and encouraging words.
Left to cherish her memory is her loving family, husband of 68 years, Raymond K. Chafin, Sr.; daughter, Margaret (Mike) Flory of Conway; grandchildren, Michael (Colleen) Flory of Edmond, OK, Christopher (Maggie) Flory of Tulsa, OK, and Andrew (Amanda) Flory of Boise, ID; and great-grandchild, Libby Flory.
Visitation will be 6:00 to 8:00 pm, Friday, December 28, 2018 at Roller-McNutt Funeral Home in Conway. Graveside service will be 10:00 am, Saturday, December 29, 2018 at Crestlawn Memorial Park in Conway.
